Next New Media
A virtual personal assistant. Maybe like artificial intelligence app that does emails and scheduling and all the other tasks that may be needed or maybe I'm a little biased and jealous because I just saw Avengers last night and Jarvis(Tony Stark's computer/personal assistant) is a total bad ass. I think it would be cool, but very far off in the future. With a personal assistant like Jarvis people can be hands off on a lot of the daily things they do. Some examples would be
-Scheduling
-Making phone calls
-Posting on social media
-Doing little things like checking the weather, news, and other tedious things related to technology
Yes, there are applications that do that on the phone, but I'm thinking large scale around the house and you can walk and talk to it as you move without taking out a physical device.
I also think that some type of google glass related technology will eventually change the world, someone just has to make it better. A A LOT better.

Have you seen the movie . It describes the future intelligent operating system! Recommend!
ReplyDeleteMovie's name is 'Her'
DeleteNo but i really wanna see the new movie Ex Machina or something! AI is the future!
DeleteThis is honestly an excellent idea and would be very helpful to many people. Even though scheduling, making phone calls and doing little things on social media is very easy, all these things added up can be very time consuming. So it would be very nice to have a helping hand.
ReplyDeleteI watched "The Avengers" too. I believe a prototype of a computerized personal assistant that exist today would be Siri, which does almost everything you listed above. If Apple were able to innovate some changes to Siri allowing it to be used around the house without a physical device then each of us will have our own personal Jarvis.
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting idea, but it may be difficult to make sure the virtual assistant can do everything efficiently. There are a lot of commercials out there about human interactions when going to the bank and how customers would prefer the human interactions over the ATM. Although I can see technology doing something like this in the future, I think it will take a long time for it to be created.
ReplyDeleteThis is an Interesting idea and I feel that we are going in that way with the way we use siri for iphones and cortana for google. The next step in making this a reality would be to update the AI of these interfaces so that they are able to process information at a faster rate similar to humans. The reason why jarvis works is that the infrastructure at Stark Tower allows for him to work, if it was anywhere else in the world then Jarvis would be null similar to how these applications are null without the device. I personally believe we have to get to 3-d rendering so that these AI will pull information faster than the processors of our phone our computers can
